Lets accept it, we all like our weekend brunches! Some lip smacking food, cocktails and mocktails flowing and delicious dessert. As much as we love our food, let’s be honest we equally love looking good and dressing our best! Choosing the right piece of jewellery or matching it to an outfit might be confusing at times. So take a peek below and get inspired as we take you through an array of jewellery combinations that could be worn with 3 different looks.
Stackable, One Of My Favorites
Look: Wearing a Blue Lehariya Georgette asymmetrical dress that could be worn as a day or evening wear, I chose to layer the jewellery in different ways. So let your hair loose or if you are having a bad hair day, simply tie a high pony.
Ring : Off late I am obsessed with layering or stacking my jewellery. Wear them at different levels in different fingers on the same hand or stack them one after the other in a way that they are zig-zag ahead of each other. Personally I would love wearing gemstones that don’t match the outfit completely and play with tones from a similar color family.
Bracelet : Slaying it away from the exact tone of the outfit, layered bracelets or bangles make a great option.
Style Tip: When short on time and need to get ready quickly, stackable jewellery works wonders. Be it jewellery or apparel, I suggest you opt for bright colors. At times white makes a great brunch look too.
Look: Like stackable jewellery, I am drawn towards jewellery that has a play of metal textures. Ideally you would think that how could I wear golden textured jewellery with the combination I am wearing? I would say, “I have all the reasons to wear this combination” In my opinion the contrast, warmth and hues of the golden textures are simply mesmerizing and stand out in the outfit. I have further added a hint of gold by wearing golden flat footwear.
Alternatively you could also carry golden jewellery gracefully with a jumpsuit. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a black jumpsuit; colored jumpsuits look great for brunch too.
Jewellery: I teamed golden floral textured earrings with a bold cuff that had danglers on it. On a black jumpsuit I opted to wear clean trendy geometric motif earring and a bronze cuff.
Style Tip: When wearing textured jewellery, opt for solid colors or outfits that don’t have too many embellishments. This will highlight the metal textures. Hair tucked with bob pins, enough to highlight the jewellery will add elegance.
Look: For a formal brunch, I opted for a dark Ikat printed Indo-western look. In my opinion it makes great evening wear, however depending on the occasion and location one could wear it in the day too.
Jewellery: If classic jewellery is your style mantra, add a hint of bold, yet minimal jewellery that makes a statement. E.g. a cocktail ring in the index finger and ring finger. All you need is a pair of earrings with it or skip the earrings all together.
Looking for trendy options, try experimenting with jacket earrings or front and back earrings. They don’t always have to be in diamonds, playing with gemstones or fancy shaped stones can make them look equally elegant.
Style Tip: Opt for clean motifs. If your jewellery is dainty, try wearing necklines or tying your hair in a way that highlights the jewellery. If the jewellery is bold, wear minimal pieces, enough to make an impact. Soft braids in your hair may look great with this look.
